Sunlight Air is strengthening its position as a trusted regional carrier by introducing the ATR 72-600 to its fleet. This modern and efficient aircraft aligns with the airline’s commitment to sustainability and enhanced passenger experience, offering low carbon emissions and seating for up to 68 passengers.
This fleet expansion comes as Sunlight Air plans to optimize operations in 2025, responding to the growing demand for domestic travel. The airline is working to increase flight frequencies and explore new destinations to serve its passengers better. Sunlight Air currently operates from key hubs, including Clark, Cebu, and Manila, connecting travelers to popular destinations such as Boracay, Coron (Busuanga), Siargao, and Cagayan de Oro.
“As we enter the new year, we find that there are more growth opportunities that come with the continuous increase of passenger demands. Sunlight Air is on a constant mission to upgrade flight frequency and efficiency as a top domestic carrier in the Philippines. This is only the beginning of an exciting year and we look forward to sharing more that we have in store toward continued efficient, sustainable, and customer-focused services,” stated Ryna Brito-Garcia, Sunlight Air CEO.

Meeting Sustainability Goals
The ATR 72-600 complements the airline’s existing fleet of three ATR 72-500s by offering improved performance and operational efficiency for short-haul flights. Known for its reduced fuel consumption, this aircraft reflects Sunlight Air’s ongoing efforts to adopt sustainable practices while maintaining high standards of service.
As the airline continues its fleet modernization, it demonstrates a focus on meeting the needs of passengers while minimizing its environmental footprint. The ATR 72-600 addition signals Sunlight Air’s readiness to adapt to the evolving requirements of the domestic travel market, ensuring efficient and eco-friendly operations across its growing network.
