Riyadh Air has introduced its complete cabin design, showing how it plans to deliver a new travel experience when it begins operations later in 2025. The airline released the full layout of its aircraft cabins, presenting how luxury, comfort, and technology will work together to offer passengers a unique onboard experience. Riyadh Air also aims to build a strong presence with the help of its advanced digital features, world-class entertainment, and well-planned seating arrangements.
The new cabin interiors reflect Saudi culture in both color and material choices. Riyadh Air wants to bring a modern but authentic experience for passengers across all cabin classes, from Economy to Business Elite. The company plans to offer a consistent layout and product across its Boeing 787-9 fleet to give travelers a uniform experience on every flight. In line with this, CEO Tony Douglas said, “Riyadh Air has always promised to deliver a world-class experience for our guests and the unveiling of our cabin interiors make this ambition a reality.”
Detailed seat features across cabin classes
Each Boeing 787-9 aircraft operated by Riyadh Air will have 290 seats. The layout includes 4 seats in Business Elite and 24 in Business Class, both arranged in a 1-2-1 format. These will feature Safran Unity seats with a width of 22.5 inches and a bed length of 78 inches. All these seats will have 52-inch-high walls, privacy doors, and sliding dividers between the center seats.

The Premium Economy section will hold 39 seats in a 2-3-2 arrangement. These seats measure 19.2 inches in width and offer 38 inches of pitch. Economy Class will have 223 seats arranged in a 3-3-3 layout, each with a width of 17.2 inches and 31 inches of pitch.
Across all classes, Riyadh Air will offer in-seat 4K OLED screens. Business Elite will feature 32-inch monitors, Business will include 22-inch screens, Premium Economy will use 15.6-inch screens, and Economy will be fitted with 13.3-inch monitors. Each Business Elite and Business seat will have A/C power, two USB-C ports, and one USB-A charging port. Premium Economy will offer four USB-C ports per seat, with extra storage space and comfort-focused design. In Economy, passengers will have two USB-C charging points and adjustable headrests.
Modern design meets cultural influence
Design elements in every cabin reflect Riyadh’s character. The overall theme blends modern finishes with traditional Saudi inspiration. Mocha gold tones and veined stone accents match dark purples and iridescent shades. A selection of colors like skyline blue, sunset peach, and lavender help unify the look, while lighting adjusts naturally throughout the flight.
All cabins will include a unique overhead design inspired by Arabic tents. The aim is to offer comfort and elegance at every level of travel. Riyadh Air also added headrest audio systems in Business Elite and Business by working with Devialet, a French sound company. This allows passengers to enjoy sound directly from the headrest, removing the need for headphones.
The seating in each class also includes additional features to improve the flight. Business Elite has a center section that can convert into a double bed. Premium Economy includes headrest wings, leg rests, and expanded side tables. Economy will focus on practical comfort with adjustable features and personal power access.

Technology and service built into the journey
Riyadh Air will offer free high-speed internet through Viasat to its loyalty program members. This service includes gate-to-gate access to streaming, social media, browsing, and gaming. The seatback screens will also feature live TV channels for news and sports.
The airline will also be the first to use Panasonic Avionics’ Modular Interactive (MI) system, which will allow for quick updates and seasonal features on the entertainment platform. Riyadh Air has positioned itself as a digital-first airline and plans to launch Version 3.0 of its digital system before it begins selling tickets.
Riyadh Air recently secured its Air Operator Certificate and received its first spare aircraft. The airline is expected to announce its full flight network and schedule in the coming months. With its new cabin interiors and digital systems in place, Riyadh Air prepares for a full launch later in 2025, aiming to become one of the leading global carriers.
