PAL Relaunches Clark-Siargao Flights

PAL Relaunches Clark-Siargao Flights

Philippine Airlines (PAL) has officially resumed flights between Clark and Siargao, beginning December 3, 2024. This marks an important milestone in the airline’s efforts to expand domestic travel options for residents in Central and Northern Luzon. The new service eliminates the need for lengthy land travel to Metro Manila, offering greater convenience for tourists and locals alike.

PAL celebrated the return of its Clark-Siargao route with a festive launch at Clark International Airport. The inaugural flight, PR 2875, was commemorated with a cake-cutting ceremony and a water cannon salute. The event was organized with the support of Clark LIPAD (Luzon International Premier Airport Development Corporation), the Department of Tourism Region 3, and other aviation stakeholders.

Speaking at the event, PAL Express President Rabbi Vincent Ang emphasized the convenience this new route brings. “We are proud of this returning service. Our thrice weekly service will provide ease and convenience for residents and tourists in Central and Northern Luzon since there is no need for land travel to Metro Manila to connect to Siargao. Residents of the island will be able to explore other parts of the country via our flights out of Clark.”

Ang also highlighted the teamwork behind the service’s relaunch. “We appreciate the collaboration of all stakeholders for their tireless efforts in working towards the return of this flight service to the beautiful island of Siargao. Our sincerest gratitude to CLARK LIPAD, CDC, CIAC, CAAP, the Department of Tourism, and all other tourism agencies. We have successfully revived this service with the collective efforts of all teams.”

Known as the country’s surfing capital, Siargao attracts travelers with its world-class waves, picturesque landscapes, and serene waters. Its appeal extends beyond surfers, making it a favorite for tourists seeking a tropical getaway.

Noel Manankil, President and CEO of LIPAD Corp, expressed excitement about the new route. “The inauguration of the Philippine Airlines route from Clark to Siargao comes at a perfect time as we approach the holiday season, when many of us are eager to reunite with loved ones and explore new destinations. What a wonderful idea it will be to spend the holidays by the beach.”

Manankil also noted the excellent facilities at Clark International Airport, which recently received the TDM Travel Trade International Airport of the Year award. He assured passengers of a seamless travel experience with the airport’s modern amenities and commitment to exceptional service.
