PAL Launches Manila to Da Nang Nonstop Flights

Philippine Airlines (PAL) is introducing a new way to travel to Vietnam. Starting July 1st, 2025, the airline will offer nonstop flights between Manila and Da Nang. PAL will begin by offering three flights each week to Da Nang, a city that gives travelers access to the cultural heritage of Central Vietnam.

“We at Philippine Airlines are excited to strengthen our close relationship with the Vietnamese people with the introduction of direct Manila-Da Nang flights,” said PAL President and Chief Operating Officer Capt. Stanley K. Ng. “PAL is committed to offering greater connectivity and promoting tourism and commerce between our capital city and the central Vietnamese heartland. We look forward to welcoming more leisure and business travelers onboard our flights to Da Nang.”

PAL’s History in Vietnam

PAL has a long history with Vietnam. In fact, it was the first Asian airline to start regular flights to the country, back in September 1986. This new Manila-Da Nang route represents PAL’s third expansion in Vietnam this year. Earlier in 2025, PAL increased its Manila-Hanoi-Manila service to a daily schedule. PAL will also start flights between Cebu and Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) on May 2nd.

Da Nang is a city on the coast that combines historical sites, beaches, and modern attractions. Visitors can explore sites nearby, such as the Marble Mountains and the Golden Bridge. Da Nang also provides easy access to several UNESCO World Heritage locations, such as the Old Town of Hoi An, the archaeological ruins of My Son, and the Imperial City of Hue.
