Philippine Airlines (PAL) was chosen as the best cabin crew uniform of 2025 out of 62 other airlines. In a poll created by aviation content creator and vlogger Mond Ortiz, the PAL cabin crew uniform bested the likes of Singapore Airlines, Emirates, Korean Air, and Qatar Airways. Out of 1,011 votes, PAL received 214.
Emirates followed in second place, and Saudia, with its updated uniform, earned third place. According to Ortiz, the results of the poll were based on pure votes of the readers. However, the 62 pre-selected uniforms to participate in the poll were chosen by Ortiz himself.
Other airlines that made it to the top 10 ranking were Qatar Airways, Cebu Pacific, Singapore Airlines, Sunlight Air, Etihad, Riyadh Air, Hainan Airlines, and AirAsia. The poll lasted from February to April of this year.
The PAL cabin crew uniform
The current PAL cabin crew uniform is derived from the design of Luis Marcos R. Antonio in 1991. He is the son of National Artist for Architecture Pablo Antonio and Marina Reyes Antonio. The original design is a businesslike taupe uniform featuring a taupe workaday suit with a single-buttoned blazer over a pleated ecru blouse with the PAL logo woven on the fabric. It also had the iconic scarf, which has a Gumamela or Hibiscus flower imprint.
In 2015, the uniform was slightly modified, where the taupe color on the blazer and skirt was changed to the Filipino flag blue color. All the rest remained the same, including the scarf. The current uniform is a combination of both professionalism and heritage.
Two other Philippine-based carriers also joined the list, namely Cebu Pacific in 5th spot and Sunlight Air in 7th spot.
