Medevac Plane Crash in Philadelphia Kills Seven

A medevac plane crashed in Philadelphia on February 2, 2024, killing at least seven people, including six Mexican nationals aboard the aircraft and one person on the ground. Officials have confirmed that 19 others sustained injuries in the medevac plane crash.

Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker confirmed during a press conference that the individual who died on the ground had been inside a vehicle at the crash site. “Thus far, our count is that there are 19 injured victims from the medevac plane crash,” Parker said.

Meanwhile, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum addressed the tragedy in a statement on X, announcing that she had instructed consular officials to provide assistance to the families of the six Mexican citizens who lost their lives in the medevac plane crash.

Details About the Aircraft and Passengers

Jet Rescue Air Ambulance, a Mexico-based company licensed to operate in the United States, identified the aircraft involved in the crash. The company stated that the plane was carrying four crew members, a pediatric medical patient, and the child’s mother.

Shai Gold, who handles corporate strategy for Jet Rescue Air Ambulance, provided additional details to CNN. He confirmed that the child was a girl who had been on her way home, with Tijuana as her final destination. Her mother had been traveling with her at the time of the crash.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash as officials work to determine the circumstances leading to the fatal medevac plane crash.
