EVA Air Finalizes Orders for A350-1000s and A321neos

EVA Air has confirmed new orders for six A350-1000s and three A321neos, further increasing its commitment to modernizing its fleet. These additions bring the airline’s total orders to 24 A350-1000s and 18 A321neos. The new aircraft will help replace existing Boeing 777-300ERs and A321ceos. This update supports EVA Air’s continued plans for fleet development and operational efficiency.

No specific delivery schedule was announced for these new aircraft. EVA Air has also not yet named the engine manufacturer for the new A321neos. However, these additions will support the carrier’s move toward phasing out older models and improving its overall service capability. The A350 aircraft, including the -1000 version, will help meet long-haul demands more efficiently.

“As we move forward with our fleet and network expansion plans, we look forward to leveraging the aircraft’s extended range and efficiency to strengthen our market position,” said EVA Air president Clay Sun.

EVA Air and Other Taiwanese Airlines Embrace A350 Fleet

All major Taiwanese carriers now operate the A350. China Airlines and Starlux already fly the smaller A350-900 variant, and Starlux also holds orders for the A350-1000. EVA Air’s new orders increase the use of Airbus widebody aircraft in the country, aligning with a trend toward modern long-haul models. Airbus continues to expand its presence in Asia through airline partnerships and next-generation aircraft.

EVA Air finalizes A350-1000 and A321neo order

“This order marks a new phase in our relationship with EVA Air and we thank the airline for its confidence in Airbus. In the long range market, it’s another major endorsement for the A350-1000 as the natural replacement for previous generation aircraft in the larger widebody size category. The A350 is setting new standards across the board in terms of range, payload, fuel efficiency and passenger comfort, while making an immediate contribution to reduced carbon emissions,” said Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, Airbus EVP Sales, Commercial Aircraft.

The A350 series comes in two sizes. The A350-900 carries up to 350 passengers in a standard three-class setup. The larger A350-1000 can accommodate up to 410 passengers. Both use advanced Rolls-Royce engines that improve fuel savings and reduce emissions. These aircraft can travel up to 9,700 nautical miles, or around 18,000 kilometers, without stopping.

Passengers on board the A350 will benefit from reduced cabin noise, new lighting technology, and updated in-flight connectivity, designed to improve comfort on long journeys.

EVA Air continues to update its fleet by investing in newer aircraft, improving service, and adapting to global air travel demands. The new orders support its long-term goals across regional and international routes.
