EVA Air will begin direct passenger flights between Taipei and Dallas starting October 3, 2025. This new connection brings the airline’s total number of North American gateways to nine. These include Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto, and Vancouver. With this addition, EVA Air becomes the only Asian airline operating flights to two destinations in Texas. The new service uses a Boeing 777-300ER and will operate three times a week.
Flights from Taipei to Dallas will operate every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. Flight BR50 will leave Taipei Taoyuan International Airport at 7:10 PM and arrive at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport at 7:40 PM local time. The return flight, BR49, will depart Dallas at 10:50 PM and arrive in Taipei at 4:05 AM two days later.
EVA Air expects this route to offer travelers a smoother connection to its wide range of destinations in Asia. Once in Taipei, passengers can connect easily to other cities across the region. With this move, EVA Air strengthens its presence in North America, connecting major cities from both coasts to Taiwan. The carrier’s growing network will also provide access to more than 100 cities across the United States and Canada through its partners and extended services.
Meeting demand in an expanding economic center
EVA Air has operated cargo flights to and from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport since 1998. The airline has now decided to expand into passenger services as demand for travel in the area continues to rise. EVA Air President Clay Sun said, “EVA Air has been operating cargo service to and from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport since 1998. Now, we are seeing strong passenger demand for this route due to the influx of numerous companies in recent years and strong economic and population growth. Dallas has become one of Texas’ economic and commercial centers.”

He added, “The opening of the direct passenger flight to Dallas makes us the only airline in Asia to operate two routes to Texas. As the third largest airport in the world in terms of passenger traffic and transfer to major cities in the United States, Central and South America, having service in this market creates more convenience for our passengers.”
Dallas has over 8.3 million residents, making it the fourth-largest metropolitan area in the United States. It is home to more than 20 Fortune 500 companies, including businesses in technology, healthcare, energy, finance, and aviation. These companies make the city a center for business and international cooperation. Many Taiwanese firms have also opened offices or launched projects in Dallas and nearby areas. The commercial activity between Taiwan and the United States has increased as a result.
Besides being a business center, Dallas also attracts tourists with well-known attractions. These include The Perot Museum of Nature and Science, The Reunion Tower, and the American Airlines Center, where the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks play. Travelers flying into Dallas will now have more options for both leisure and business trips. The launch of this new route connects passengers to both cultural attractions and commercial destinations.
This expansion allows EVA Air to increase its flight choices from Taiwan to the United States and beyond. The growing network supports both business and tourism, linking key cities and offering travelers more flexibility.
