Etihad Airways has joined forces with Air Seychelles through a codeshare agreement, giving travelers enhanced options for exploring exotic destinations. The partnership enables passengers to book single-ticket journeys connecting Etihad’s global destinations with Mahe, Seychelles, via Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport.
The codeshare arrangement offers Etihad customers access to additional destinations, including Praslin and Mauritius, through Air Seychelles’ direct flights from Mahe. Starting May 23, 2025, both airlines will operate six flights weekly between Abu Dhabi and Mahe, ensuring convenience and a smooth travel experience for passengers. Travelers can expect consistent benefits such as complimentary meals, inflight entertainment, and standard baggage allowances. Additionally, members of Etihad Guest can earn miles on these flights. This further cements the bond between Etihad and Air Seychelles.
Arik De, Etihad’s Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer, shared his excitement about the collaboration. He stated, “This exciting agreement offers Etihad Airways’ guests increased frequency and convenience for travel between Abu Dhabi and Seychelles, and onward to Mauritius. The flights will integrate seamlessly with Etihad’s global network, enhancing connectivity for passengers of both airlines. This collaboration not only enhances travel options but also strengthens the relationship between the two airlines, promising a superior travel experience for all passengers.”
Nonstop Flights and Creole Hospitality
The partnership highlights nonstop service between Abu Dhabi and Seychelles, with onward flights to Mauritius. Charles Johnson, Air Seychelles’ Chief Commercial Officer, emphasized the benefits of the schedule. He remarked, “We’re excited to be launching our nonstop flights between Abu Dhabi and Seychelles, with continuing same-plane service to Mauritius. With a schedule designed to optimize time in our tropical paradise, guests will feel the warmth of the Creole Spirit from the moment they board.” This new offering by Etihad will appeal to Air Seychelles enthusiasts.
Tickets for the codeshare flights are now available for purchase, with services beginning on May 23, 2025.
