Emirates will start flying its newly upgraded Airbus A380 aircraft with Premium Economy cabins to Manchester and Milan. These upgraded flights will begin with EK017 and EK018 to Manchester on June 6, and EK091 and EK092 to Milan on July 1. This update will allow more travelers to experience Emirates’ latest seat offering and cabin improvements.
The Premium Economy section on these aircraft sits at the front of the main deck and includes 56 seats arranged in a 2-4-2 format. Each seat has added legroom and width, along with features like personal charging outlets and a cocktail table. The in-flight service includes a carefully prepared meal selection and a wide drink menu, with the Chandon Vintage Brut 2016 offered only to Premium Economy passengers.
Once the new aircraft begin service, Emirates will offer around 5,000 Premium Economy seats every week between the UK and Dubai starting in June. This expansion adds to the four daily upgraded A380s that already fly between Dubai and London Heathrow. Emirates also uses the A350 on the Edinburgh route and will begin using a refurbished Boeing 777 for London Stansted flights in May.

Milan will become the second city in Italy to receive Emirates’ new Premium Economy product. Bologna will also begin receiving Emirates’ A350 aircraft later in June. With these updates, Emirates’ network of upgraded A380s will grow to 19 destinations worldwide.
Long-haul destinations now more accessible
Starting in July, travelers from Manchester and Milan will be able to fly in Emirates’ updated four-class A380 cabins to destinations in Asia and Australasia. These include key cities such as Sydney, Singapore, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Osaka. These flights will provide more choices in both comfort and seating classes for long-distance passengers.
The project to upgrade Emirates’ A380 fleet is part of the airline’s effort to offer modern cabin options and better service on its routes. As more aircraft are retrofitted, more cities will receive the updated cabin layout with Premium Economy.
