Emirates Opens First Immersive Retail Store in Manila

Emirates has launched its first Emirates World retail store in Southeast Asia, introducing an interactive and immersive travel retail experience in Manila. Located at Shangri-La The Fort in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, the store spans 221 square meters and offers a range of services and products that redefine customer engagement in the Philippines.

The retail store, inaugurated by Emirates’ Chief Commercial Officer Adnan Kazim on November 13, 2024, also welcomed the Philippines’ First Lady, Mrs. Liza Araneta Marcos, UAE Ambassador to the Philippines His Excellency Mohamed Obaid Al Qataam Al Zaabi, and other distinguished guests. Kazim emphasized the store’s purpose, saying, “The new Emirates World Store in Manila is designed to serve as a one-stop shop where customers can explore Emirates’ best-in-class products and services.”

One of the store’s highlights is the Emirates A380 onboard Lounge display, allowing visitors to experience the luxury that defines the airline’s offerings. Guests can also explore Emirates-branded merchandise, including travel accessories and the latest NBA collection, available through the Emirates Official Store.

Adding to the unique experience, the store integrates advanced technologies such as an interactive self-service screen that enables customers to browse flight options and check availability quickly, ensuring convenience and ease of access.

Strengthening Emirates’ Presence in the Philippines

Emirates launched its services to Manila in 1990 and has since expanded to include flights to Cebu and Clark. The airline currently operates 28 weekly flights to and from the Philippines, providing approximately 22,700 seats and connecting passengers to over 140 global destinations.

The opening of the Emirates World Store is part of the airline’s broader strategy to enhance its retail presence globally. Emirates plans to invest AED 100 million in similar stores across key markets, with existing locations in Dubai, Hong Kong, London, and Nairobi.

Emirates’ dedication to the Philippine market was further solidified through its interline agreement with Philippine Airlines (PAL) last year. This partnership allows PAL customers to connect via Dubai to nine international destinations, including Amman, Dublin, and Riyadh.

Emirates continues to offer unparalleled travel experiences, providing passengers with regionally inspired meals crafted by award-winning chefs and complemented by a wide selection of premium beverages. Onboard, travelers can enjoy over 6,500 channels of entertainment through the airline’s award-winning inflight entertainment system, “ice.”
