Delta Air Lines Expands Reach with New Flights to Morocco

Delta Air Lines expands its network in Africa with a new route to Morocco from Atlanta. Starting October 25th, Delta will offer its first-ever service to Marrakech, Morocco. Additionally, seasonal service from Atlanta to Accra, Ghana, begins December 1st to meet peak winter demand. Delta Air Lines has remained committed to connecting customers between the United States and Africa since launching service to the continent in 2006.

“Delta’s new service to Marrakech and added flights to Accra strengthen our presence in Africa, offering more opportunities for customers to enjoy our award-winning service and premium onboard experience,” said Paul Baldoni, Senior Vice President of Network Planning at Delta. “Whether discovering Morocco or reconnecting with loved ones in Ghana, these routes enhance our network while reinforcing Atlanta’s role as the world’s largest global hub.”

Marrakech, a UNESCO-listed destination, offers centuries-old traditions, vibrant markets, and world-class luxury. Delta’s new service, with one-stop connections from over 125 cities, makes this destination more accessible. Travelers can explore the Medina, marvel at the Bahia Palace, experience Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, and unwind with a traditional hammam spa.

More Service to Accra

Accra remains a popular destination for Delta Air Lines, especially during the holiday season. To meet peak demand, Delta introduces seasonal daily nonstop service from Atlanta to Accra. This complements its daily year-round service from New York-JFK. Following its debut on the JFK-ACC route last October, the Airbus A330-900neo will now operate on the Atlanta route. This aircraft offers Delta One Suites and next-generation comfort across all cabins.

“Africa is home to some of the world’s most dynamic cities, rich traditions, and growing economies, and Delta is making it easier than ever to reach them,” said Matteo Curcio, Senior Vice President of Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India at Delta. “These new routes open doors for travelers seeking business opportunities, cultural exploration, and meaningful connections.”

Delta’s expansion in Africa provides travelers with more options and a premium experience. The new routes and enhanced services cater to both leisure and business travelers, facilitating cultural exploration and economic opportunities.
