Cebu Pacific Soon to Launch Iloilo to Bangkok Flights

Cebu Pacific is significantly expanding its network to alleviate the congestion often experienced at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Manila. This strategic initiative aims to provide travelers with more options by allowing them to use alternative regional hubs for their flights. By removing the necessity to travel to Manila for connections, Cebu Pacific hopes to streamline travel for its passengers. One of the notable additions to Cebu Pacific’s network is the introduction of direct flights connecting Iloilo to Don Mueang International Airport in Bangkok, Thailand.

This new route is particularly beneficial for travelers from the Western Visayas region, offering them a more efficient and convenient way to reach one of Southeast Asia’s most vibrant destinations. The direct flights will commence on March 31, 2025, operating three times a week—every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. With this launch, Cebu Pacific will be the only airline providing non-stop flights between Iloilo and Bangkok, marking a significant milestone for both the airline and the region.

This new service not only adds value to Cebu Pacific’s route offerings but also complements existing international flights from Iloilo to popular destinations like Hong Kong and Singapore. “We are thrilled to give more travelers the opportunity to explore the majestic city of Bangkok. Strengthening our Iloilo hub allows us to connect even more passengers from the Western Visayas region to exciting destinations across our international network,” stated Xander Lao, Cebu Pacific’s President and Chief Commercial Officer. His comments highlight the airline’s commitment to expanding its reach and enhancing travel accessibility for Filipino passengers.

Travelers using this new route can look forward to immersing themselves in Thailand’s rich culture. They will have the opportunity to explore iconic cultural attractions, visit famous Buddhist temples, indulge in authentic Thai cuisine, and partake in the vibrant entertainment and nightlife scene that Bangkok is renowned for. This expansion significantly contributes to Cebu Pacific’s goal of making international travel not only more accessible but also budget-friendly for its passengers.

Additionally, this development is particularly advantageous for residents of Panay Island and nearby areas. They can now enjoy the convenience of flying directly from Iloilo to an international destination without the added hassle of taking a connecting flight from Manila. This improvement is a game-changer for many travelers, allowing them to save time and reduce travel-related stress.

Cebu Pacific continues to evolve its services and expand its network, demonstrating a commitment to fostering greater connectivity throughout the region. With these ongoing developments, the airline is poised to make international travel easier and more enjoyable, all while promoting tourism and economic growth in the Western Visayas area and beyond.
