Cebu Pacific has expanded its long-standing partnership with Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) as both companies move forward with a broader support agreement for the A320 and A321 fleet. The two organizations gathered at the French Residence in Manila to mark the upcoming formal signing of a new deal that will include component support and added services.
As part of this new phase, AFI KLM E&M will also provide CFM56-5B Shop Visit support along with On-Wing and On-Site maintenance. The extended agreement strengthens the foundation for both sides to deliver efficient aircraft performance. It also supports Cebu Pacific’s effort to maintain a reliable and cost-effective A320 operation.
Cebu Pacific recently announced a record-breaking aircraft purchase for the Philippines, with 102 confirmed and 50 optional A320/A321 NEO aircraft. As the airline continues to grow, this renewed maintenance collaboration plays an important role in helping the carrier manage its expanding fleet. Cebu Pacific continues to invest in key partnerships that ensure quality, especially in areas such as component support and engine services.
AFI KLM E&M remains a major maintenance provider in the region, especially for the A320 platform. The partnership further strengthens its role as a trusted maintenance, repair, and overhaul partner in Asia-Pacific.

Focused cooperation and shared direction
Alexander Lao, President and Chief Commercial Officer at Cebu Pacific, said, “Extending our partnership, including Engine Services, with AFI KLM E&M is a strategic move aligned with our growth trajectory. Their expertise and reliability in maintaining our A320/A321 fleet are critical as we expand our operations. This extended agreement ensures that we can continue to deliver safe, efficient, and cost-effective services to our passengers.”
This shared direction builds on the success of earlier joint efforts. With the addition of engine services, the scope of support now covers a wider range of operational needs for Cebu Pacific, which is among the fastest-growing carriers in the region.
Tommaso Auriemma, Vice President Sales Asia Pacific of AFI KLM E&M, said, “We are honoured to renew our partnership with Cebu Pacific Air, a key client who has consistently demonstrated robust growth and innovation. This further collaboration on the A320 platform will reinforce our commitment to expanding our services and inventory in the Asia-Pacific region. Together, we are set to achieve new heights of operational excellence.”
Long-term support for an expanding fleet
Cebu Pacific continues to enhance its operations by working closely with experienced providers like AFI KLM E&M. This partnership ensures that its growing A320/A321 fleet remains reliable through expert support and maintenance planning.
As the airline prepares to receive new aircraft and expand its network, working with established technical partners will help maintain smooth operations. The renewed agreement marks another step in Cebu Pacific’s ongoing strategy to maintain efficient, high-quality service.
