New link with Brazil welcomed

Marcelo Freixo, President of Embratur – Brazilian Tourism Board, welcomed the new Toronto–Rio de Janeiro connection, noting, “Rio de Janeiro is one of those unique places in the world where you can go hiking, swim in the ocean, experience the rich Afro-Brazilian culture, admire breathtaking landscapes, and enjoy an authentic and diverse gastronomy. The relaunch of this route meets a growing demand from Canadian travellers for genuine and sustainable experiences. That is why we remain committed to working in partnership to strengthen this and many other connections between Brazil and Canada.”

New services will offer more travel flexibility for both Canadian residents and international passengers connecting through Canada. The flights also support cargo transportation opportunities, which Air Canada continues to develop as part of its broader network expansion.

This winter schedule strengthens Air Canada’s presence in Latin America, the Caribbean, and Mexico, with connections reaching new leisure destinations and boosting accessibility from major Canadian cities.
